PART TIME Accounts Payable Assistant

Position Overview:
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring prompt payments to suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the accounts payable processes, possess excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing – Receive, review, and process invoices accurately and efficiently using Xero & Dext software, adhering to VAT regulations.
Supplier Relations – Communicate effectively with suppliers to address enquiries and resolve payment issues. Establish and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers. Resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal parties.
Prepare and maintain weekly payment schedules, in a timely manner ready for payment by the Finance Manager.
Reconcile payments made to suppliers and maintain Aged Payables reports.
Assist in month-end activities related to Accounts Payable.
Willingness to learn other areas of the accounts function to cover annual leave etc.
